Thor had no prologue on the agenda for taking the yellow jersey from the start this year as he did two years ago in Strasbourg. "I had a bit of heavy legs during the stage but I felt better in the finale", he said after finishing 15th in Plumelec, 7 seconds behind Alejandro Valverde. "It was a really nervous and stressful stage. I'm happy with the sprint I did in that hard finale and I got a few points (11) for the green jersey." Another uphill finish is scheduled for stage 2 in Saint-Brieuc.

2008-07-01 Thor is ready for the Tour
Thor has recovered from the cold that prevented him from riding the Norwegian championship. He'll be in Brest on Wednesday for the start of his 8th Tour de France and he'll held a press conference on Friday, July 4, at 4.30, at the media center.
